ANZAC biscuits have become an integral part of ANZAC day celebration. These biscuits are easy to make and are great in taste.

Here's how you can make and serve them in easiest way.


  • 100gms. plain flour
  • 100gms. caster sugar
  • 85gms. porridge oat
  • 85gms. desiccated coconut
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 100gms. butter.
  • You can also keep extra stock of butter for greasing
  • Yellow food colour


Recipe Method:

First of all, heat the oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 4. Then put the mix of oats, coconut, flour and sugar in a bowl and melt the butter in a small pan and stir it in the golden syrup. Add the bicarbonate of soda to 2 tbsp boiling water and then stir into the golden syrup and the butter mixture.

Now, make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour in the butter along with the golden syrup mixture. Stir it gently to incorporate the dry ingredients.

Once everything is done, put dessertspoonfuls of the mixture on to buttered baking sheets, about 2.5cm/1in apart to allow room for spreading.

Bake in batches for about 10 minutes until itbecomes golden. Transfer to a wire rack to cool down and you are ready with your delicious ANZAC biscuits!
