Ingredients:
2 medium-sized raw mangoes
1 cup sugar (adjust according to taste)
1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon black salt (kala namak)
1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
A handful of fresh mint leaves
Ice cubes
Water
Instructions:
- Wash the raw mangoes thoroughly and then boil them until they become soft. Alternatively, you can pressure cook them until they are soft and pulpy.
- Once the mangoes are cooked, let them cool down. Then peel off the skin and remove the pulp from the mangoes. Discard the seeds.
- In a blender, add the mango pulp, sugar, roasted cumin powder, black salt, salt, black pepper powder, and fresh mint leaves.
- Blend everything together until you get a smooth mixture. You can adjust the consistency by adding water according to your preference.
- Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness and saltiness according to your taste.
- Once the mixture is well blended and adjusted to your taste, strain it through a sieve to remove any fibrous bits or residue.
- Transfer the strained Aam Panna into a pitcher or jug and refrigerate it until chilled.
- Serve the chilled Aam Panna in glasses with ice cubes. Optionally, you can garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint leaves for added freshness.
