Panchporan Masala is a blend of spices, including coriander, cumin, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and nutmeg. This Indian spice mix is used in many Indian dishes and is a key ingredient in garam masala. It also contains some different ingredients than garam masala does: bay leaves and peppercorns. Panchporan Masala can be sprinkled on vegetables and rice for an exotic flavor or as a spice rub for chicken or lamb before cooking it in the oven or on the stovetop.
India is famous for its spices, and Panchporan Masala is the best of them all. The blend of spices varies from family to family, but it always contains cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks, cloves, cumin seeds, bay leaves, and coriander seeds. This mix can be used in curries, rice dishes, and vegetable dishes to give them a spicy kick! Panchporan Masala is used in various cuisines across India and the world: Afghani cuisine, Bangladeshi cuisine, Bhutanese cuisine, Burmese cuisine, Nepalese cuisine, Sri Lankan cuisine, and Thai cuisine.
